Recent Grants

     When our donors give unrestricted gifts, they allow the Foundation's trustees to determine how their gifts can best serve the community from year to year as needs and programs change. The earnings from these gifts are distributed through our Discretionary Grants Program. This program allowed us to award $14,849 during our most recent grant cycle:

Bread of Life Ministries, Inc.  

    $1,250 to support transportation costs for one load of food

Children’s Center for Dance Education

    $350 to support auditorium fees, janitorial costs, and high school staff/drama student involvement associated with the presentation of The Children’s Nutcracker

Encountering Hope Ministries

    $2,000 to provide food purchases for the Manna Market and diapers and wipes for the Bib & Bottle Boutique

Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra

    $500 to support the 2011-2012 Helen M. McKinney Young People’s Concerts for Warrick County students

Helping Hands of Warrick County

    $2,000 to purchase supplies for the Helping Hands Store in support of the parent incentive program that aims to encourage preventive health care and immunizations for children up to 24 months

Holly’s House

    $2,000 to support the Think First & Stay Safe-Child Abuse Prevention Program

Junior Achievement of Southwestern Indiana

    $1,000 for the JA 2^nd grade program expansion at Chandler Elementary School

Ronald McDonald House of Indiana

    $2,000 to support the Warrick County Family Assistance Program

Warrick County CASA

    $2,000 to support the Legal Education Assistance Program

Warrick Count Council on Aging

    $1,749 to provide funding for a 40” smooth surface double oven electric range for the senior center
